Nice buns

...is not a provocative comment at a librarians' conference.

I'm back after an information-packed three days in the capital. It was great. It's just so energizing to be surrounded by people who are as passionate about libraries and connecting people and information as you are. I found myself at the FIS alumni reunion clutching a pint and chatting earnestly about taxonomies and subject authorities. Good times.

I didn't see much of Ottawa because I was so busy, but I did have the opportunity to visit many fine pubs on Thursday night's pub crawl. We went to Darcy McGee's, the Heart and Crown, The Highlander, Chez Lucien, and finished up at The Earl of Sussex. By that time, I was nearly finished, if you know what I'm sayin'. But I was up bright and early (well, nine AM) the next day and ready for more conferencing.

I think it was a success. Next year's conference is in St John's and I'm going even if I have to swim there!
